ANTONIO GUERRERO

"Spirit of the Ancestors Indigenous Art Gallery is not just a space to showcase the art and culture of Indigenous peoples. It is a sanctuary to preserve and honor the spirit of our ancestors. We keep the stories alive through their art and share them with the world."

Dianne Watson, Director & Founder of Spirit of the Ancestors

GALLERY DIRECTOR & FOUNDER

DIANNE WATSON

A global business leader, with a wealth of experience in the luxury cosmetics, fashion, and licensing industries, Dianne has held multiple executive positions around the globe. She is a native of South Africa, having been born and educated there, but then furthered her career in Asia, The Middle East, and North America (NYC, Dallas Texas, and New Mexico). Her experience in the luxury arena has been shaped by her work with several famous designers, most notably Tom Ford.

Currently residing in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Dianne is passionate about using her business expertise to provide a platform for emerging artists to showcase their work to a wider audience.

"My mission is to promote and celebrate the cultural heritage of Native American and African Artists and their work."

"These works are aesthetically captivating and hold deep-rooted historical and spiritual meaning. We provide an inclusive space for these artists and their creations to be recognized and valued by a larger audience. We hope to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for the diverse cultures that shape our world by exhibiting these works of art. We are excited to share this journey with you."

Art Curator

TYMON SMITH

An award winning audiophile residing in picturesque South Africa, Tymon has worked in many industries including audio engineering, advertising, and property. With a love for people and elevating their positions in life, Tymon now joins Spirit of the Ancestors in our journey to uplift artists who deserve recognition but lack the geographical and socio-economic influences to achieve it.

Art Curator

MAXINE DUPONT

A cosmopolitan NYC Fine Arts graduate and internationally acclaimed educator, Maxi has worked in multiple industries including curation, education, and entertainment. Having skipped out on a curatorial mentorship in NYC, Maxi decided to travel and see the world from the artist's perspective as opposed to that of those who profit from them. Dedicated to fair-trade, upliftment and transparency, Maxi joins Spirit of the Ancestors in our endeavor to connect local African artists with the American marketplace, to the benefit of them both.
